Common privacy notice
This tool-specific layer supplements the Sorola controller privacy notice, which identifies the controller and explains legal bases, common technical data, recipients, transfers, retention and your rights.
1. Introduction
Sorola Password Generator ("the Extension") is a fully local password generator committed to complete privacy. This privacy policy explains how the extension handles data.
2. Data Collection and Usage
The extension's password-generation function operates offline and does not collect, store, process, or transmit generated passwords or other entered content. Optional analytics on this website are separate from the extension and are described below.
- Tool data: The tool does not send the content you process to analytics. Optional consent-gated site analytics are described below.
- No Data Retention: Passwords generated by the extension are created instantaneously in your browser and are not saved or logged anywhere.
3. Required Permissions
The Extension requires the clipboardWrite permission to function. This permission is used exclusively when the user explicitly clicks the "Copy" button within the extension's popup interface to transfer the newly generated password to their clipboard.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell or rent content processed by the tool. Its core function does not send that content to external services. Separate consent-gated site analytics are described below.
5. Security
The Extension runs entirely locally within your browser. Since it makes no external network requests, your generated passwords remain completely private and secure.

Optional site analytics
Sorola does not load Google Tag Manager or Plausible Analytics before you accept optional analytics. After acceptance, measurement may process the page URL, title and referrer, browser and device information, and form, outbound-link, and file-download event metadata. Identifier-free performance measurement additionally reports only the product, a coarse page class, rounded Core Web Vitals, and a count of at most ten errors; it does not report the path, user, processed content, or error details. Content you process in a tool is not intentionally added to analytics. Rejecting does not limit the service. The choice is stored in local browser storage and a first-party preference cookie for up to one year. You can change your choice at any time with the persistent “Privacy settings” button.
